What to wear on your Best Friend's Wedding???

Wedding season is here and all we are thinking is what to wear at our best friend’s or closest relative wedding day.

Weddings in India are not a day’s affair. It’s not something which you can see in any country. It’s actually celebrated as a theme across the countries because weddings over here attain to a lot of importance with traditions and rituals.

The wedding week starts off with engagement, haldi, sangeet and mehendi, followed with a bridal shower and then followed by the main events i.e. wedding and reception.
Since the first three events are a start off, you can wear something classy according to the particular event.

For engagement you can wear a heavy work high low which is a trend among the types of Indian dresses, the jewelry for it can be kept low with a statement piece and the makeup should go according to the dress. For example, if you are wearing a multi colored dress, the makeup should not be of bright colours or else you will end up looking like a rain bow.

For haldi you can go according to the name of the event i.e. a haldi colored or orange colored hand embroidery salwar kameez with some minimal makeup. You can go for some heavy floral ear rings that go along with the dress.

For the mehendi and sangeet event, it’s not really necessary to go according to the colour; you can wear any colour you want. Lehengas are of great trend now and you can even wear an Indian mix of palazzo.

Make the eye shadow green to resemble the event and go with any statement pieces for jewellery.

It’s time for bridal shower, to make the bride feel that her bachelorette life is over and a new life with a new adventure is going to start. You can wear some sexy western outfits like the off shoulder gowns with some minimal makeup or the always LBD. Go for that peep toed platforms to go along with the dress. Not wearing any jewelry would not be a bad option. A good hairdo would add up to be an extra feature in your attire.

Next are the main events which are of great importance. Wedding day is the day to look different and to stand out of the crowd. Go for a sari with golden border or for a designer sari with monochrome print. It’s not necessary to go with a heavy design sari, you can keep it minimal but with trend. Go for that glittery eye shadow with red lipstick and heavy jewellery like uncut diamond necklace or a bracelet.

The reception night is also an equal important night. An Indian gown goes well for the reception. A beaded head band is trendier to go with the princess Indian gown for jewellery. Go for those wedges which will make you stand stall. A crystal studded clutch will add a statement to the dress. Makeup can be done with a contrast or making the eyes sparkle or the lips.

Apart from the mentioned tips and tricks, you can also make your own style statement. Make sure it doesn’t end up looking gaudy or miss matched. The main key point is to make it look simple yet stylish.

So, with all the above mentioned cheat sheet you will look gorgeous and attract everyone around you and you will the talk among the groups and the wedding will be a memorable one for you.

Hope you all enjoy this wedding season with a blast and increase your quotient in the dressing up like a pro....

Happy Wedding Season!!!!
